Calling all munchkins! At Little Travelers Camp, children ages 5-6 will embark on an exciting journey through the world of transportation. From airplanes, trains, carriages, and bicycles, campers will discover how we move through the air, on land, and beyond!  Your little traveler will play with simple machines and craft animals, planes, trains and more during this week’s camp!

Solve the mysteries of our local natural world! Every day will bring new clues and ‘whodunnits’ for our junior detectives. Adventures include collecting invertebrates from the local stream, identifying animal signs, exploring various habitats, and cane pole fishing. Join us for a fantastic journey filled with fun and discovery!

Ready to get your hands dirty? At Digging Up the Past Camp, kids ages 7-9 will become junior archaeologists as they uncover the secrets of ancient civilizations. Through hands-on activities like mock digs, artifact analysis, and creative crafts, campers will learn how we piece together history one discovery at a time. They’ll explore how tools, pottery, and fossils tell stories about the past, and even create their own “artifacts” to take home!

Jump into the animal world with Camp Wiregrass’s Animal Antics! Campers will discover what animals need to survive by caring for their own pet (don’t worry, it’s pretend) and explore the different kinds of animals living close to their own backyard! Cane pole fishing, milking ‘Buttercup,’ the fiberglass milking cow, and meeting the Museum’s livestock and nature center animals are just a few of the fun, hands-on activities planned throughout the week.

Camp Wiregrass offers week-long day sessions tailored for ages for ages 5-9 years old. Camps provide fun, hands-on learning experiences focusing on agriculture, history, natural resources, and STEM.
